Rob received his BA in Linguistics from UCSB, and previously worked with Stanford University and the US Department of Energy. Rob also has hands-on experience marketing educational programs, advanced curriculum, and behavior modification training clinics to administrative boards, schools and parents for high-end arts-in-education programs. Rob is currently studying hand drumming in the traditional folklore style of Trinidad, accompanying dancers in performances, classes, and outreach programs for troubled youth. He is a proud father of three children, an avid backpacker, and has devoted much of his free time in recent years to the study of, and participation in, traditional Native American ceremonies and practices.

Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with more than 21 years of experience treating individuals and families who are struggling to overcome behavior, relationship, mental health and addiction issues.She has a strong background in development of systems and programs that help bring the whole family into the change process. ” I believe that healing needs to take place on a systemic level in order to create sustainable change for individuals and family systems”.She has worked in the outdoor industry for over 5 years. In her most recent role, she lead the centralized admissions department of a leading provider of education programs for struggling or underachieving young people where she worked directly with professionals to assist families in a time of crisis. Prior to that she was the start up Clinical Director of a leading wilderness-based treatment program for young adults. Her passion and breadth of experience make her a wonderful fit at Pacific Quest.

Denise studied Laboratory Technology at Barry University & Biscayne Paramedical Institute in Miami, Florida followed by nursing school in San Diego, CA. Her career in the healthcare field began as a nurse in a short-term crisis residential treatment center for chronically mentally ill adults. Oversight of the suicide hot line/crisis call center, detoxification, stabilization, case management, and psychiatric med management were all primary duties.
Over the next ten years Denise worked in psychiatric hospitals specifically working with children and adolescents on both the open and locked units. In the early 90′s she moved into Business Development and began marketing regionally and nationally for long-term medical model treatment center for teens. She was recruited to Utah as a Regional Marketing Director, for one of the largest residential treatment centers, and worked closely with a wide variety of referral sources in both the public and private setting.
Prior to joining Pacific Quest, Denise was one of the co-founder’s of a therapeutic boarding school in southern Utah. Her extensive background marketing, admissions, and program development, allow for a seamless transition into her new role as Director of Outreach. She brings an unmatched breadth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to Pacific Quest with a personal appreciation for the needs of families in crisis.
Denise enjoys traveling, skiing, meditation, and sunny days by the pool with her husband, Jamie and chocolate lab, Roxy. Denise remains an active advocate for the Mitochondrial & Metabolic Center (MMDC) at UCSD following the loss of her two sons.

Alicia received her BA from Syracuse University, and then went on to receive a Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City. Since then, she has accumulated over 15 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings that serve children and families. It was through this work that Alicia developed a strong passion for combining her interests in education and therapeutic services that can assist families. Her position will allow us to reach out to all of our alumni students and families in a more proactive way. Alicia will be creating alumni programs and mentoring opportunities; managing an alumni web portal and newsletter; and coordinating the transition process for PQ students to after care placements (and much more). She will not only be a valuable resource to our families, but will also support our Educational Consultants in many ways. Most recently, Alicia came to PQ following 5 years as an Educational Consultant on the West Coast. Her experience will serve PQ well and allow us to better meet the needs of our past, present and future students and families. Alicia enjoys spending time listening to music, reading, hiking, yoga, and being with friends and family.

Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and a Masters in Business Administration with Honors from Boston University. After a 15-year career as a successful investment banker and corporate finance professional, Mark joined Pacific Quest as the Business and Outreach Director as well as a part-owner. The position was created to enhance community awareness and referrals to educational consultants, develop a more defined model and plan for Pacific Quest, and assist with financial affairs. He also assists with admissions and marketing. Prior to joining Pacific Quest, Mark was a Managing Director at a leading investment bank where he assisted private and public business owners with their growth strategies. Mark has been married for over 15 years and has three children. He is an avid cyclist, enjoying both road riding and mountain biking. He also enjoys running, skiing, tennis, traveling and spending time with his family.

Cyndi joined Pacific Quest in 2008 as is dedicated to her postion as Family Services Manager. Cyndi was an office manager for a prominent retail store on Maui for six years before moving into managing a pediatrician’s office in Hilo for another six years. After two years as a preschool teacher, she has returned to the office setting to help keep us all organized and running smoothly. Cyndi is a native of Maui and lives in Hilo with her husband, and daughter, Lacie. Cyndi enjoys kickboxing, fishing and spending time with her family.

Yvette earned her BS from Texas State University in 2005 and soon after began working as a field instructor for a wilderness therapy program in southwest Colorado. In 2006, Yvette joined the Pacific Quest team where she worked as a field staff for two years. After her time in the field, Yvette moved to Oregon where she worked as a wholesale buyer and wellness assistant at a community health store. Yvette is excited to return to the PQ family, and is looking forward to developing tools and resources that help explain the many facets of the PQ experience. Yvette enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening and exploring the island with her son and husband.
