Mind and Body
The Mind & Body connection is how the physical body responds to the way one thinks, feels and acts just as what you feel physically can affect your emotions and moods.
At Pacific Quest, our students pay close attention to their physical body: posture, body language, energy level, and breathing patterns. We help create the awareness for the students to identify the sources of stress, anxiety, sadness, anger, or agitation. They learn to pay close attention to their emotions, asking themselves: how am I feeling, am I expressing my emotions, am I moving through the emotions, or keeping them bottled up? The mind-body connection is about body awareness and the physical manifestations of the intangible mind and emotions. The Wellness and Clinical team together educate the students how to use mind-body awareness tools to manage their stress and emotions.
