Health and Wellness
As a program, our first responsibility is for our students’ physical safety. Over the years, we have had an impeccable safety record and have proactively developed an incredible team of medical professionals to deal with any emergencies as well as the treatment of many medical pre-existing conditions. Like our program itself, our Wellness Team is well rounded with a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse (former ER nurse) and Nurse’s Assistant to work with our students.

An understanding and routine of basic physical health is the foundation of Pacific Quest. Proper nutrition and diet, plenty of exercise and sleep, and the understanding that your body is connected to your mind and emotions are parts of this foundation and emphasized daily.
Upon each student’s arrival, our professionals assess any individual safety and/or hygiene needs and healthy standards and expectations are set. Once they begin to consistently experience the positive effects of physical health, it paves the way for emotional health and growth.
Dr. Britta Zimmer, who supervises our Wellness team, is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in Hawaii. Naturopathic Physicians are trained to serve as primary care practitioners who are experts in the prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment of both acute and chronic health conditions. Her goal for the participants at PQ is to feel empowered and inspired to take control of their own health by learning about nutrition, exercise, proper sleep hygiene, and how their minds and bodies work. She is supported by Al Grant, RN, and Carol Wilder, MD.
